ABOUT
Join us for our third installation of Cookbooks & Convos at Hillel, a unique evening where we explore big questions about Jewish identity, culture, and the role of cuisine in shaping who we are. Featuring acclaimed French‐Spanish historian and cookbook author Hélène Jawhara Piñer—whose Matzah and Flour draws on centuries of Sephardic culinary heritage to illuminate how food carries memory, resilience, and meaning in Jewish life—and in conversation with renowned chef Michael Solomonov, this event uses food as a lens to ask Where does cuisine fit in our stories, traditions, and sense of self?
Proceeds from this fundraiser support Temple Hillel’s mission to inspire enduring Jewish identity and community on campus through education, connection, and a social safety net that meets students’ critical needs while strengthening their sense of belonging and Jewish purpose.
